Cville Academics was founded by Chase Gibson, a career educator and program builder at the University of Virginia. Chase’s educational philosophy was built around a simple idea: students succeed when they can develop strong academic habits through consistent, individualized, one-on-one support. 

Chase’s career started as an academic mentor where he gained a passion for seeing students succeed. Through an expertise in individual support and later program building, Chase’s career continued at UVA: first at UVA Athletics and later to building programs that supported the broader University community. While Chase loved the unique challenge and excitement of program building, the most meaningful part of his work was always the one-on-one coaching. Cville Academics was created to return to that mission-driven work.

Unlike most academic support services, Cville Academics focuses not only on course content, but on the academic skills that help students succeed long-term.
